About us

Stephen originally qualified as a mechanical engineer and worked as a design draftsman. He has always been fascinated by how things work and has an impeccable attention to detail.

For 19 years he worked in Africa, specialising in logistics and project management, for two different charities. His final post was as a regional advisor in the charity's West Africa office. Stephen's creativity came to the fore in Cameroon working with a physiotherapist to develop a range of special seating for children with cerebral palsy, and in Togo where together with an ophthalmologist he designed an made a mobile operating table extension for outreach cataract surgery.

Returning to the UK in 2008, Stephen established a business in Godalming designing and fitting bespoke furniture as well as more general property refurbishment projects. He has acquired a reputation for always delivering affordable creative solutions, and is increasingly in demand for his skills in designing and realising diverse commissions for many clients, including Charterhouse School.

Designing and crafting anything from an exquisite desktop humidor to a bespoke kitchen, to imaginative storage solutions, Stephen find new challenges to stimulate his creativity.

When not working, Stephen volunteers as a coach for Godalming Youth Canoe Club and was recognised by Sport Godalming in 2019 when he was awarded Coach of the Year. Stephen also enjoys sailing and cycling - raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
